INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives investigate a deadly shooting on the city’s northwest side.
On Wednesday, June 21, 2017, just after 12:00 p.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were sent to the 6600 block of Hollow Run Drive reference a person down. When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old unresponsive male in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. The victim’s name should be obtained from the Marion County Corner’s Office during regular business hours.
Detectives were told that around 8:00 a.m. several neighbors heard several shots and saw a male hopping a fence running toward an adjoining housing addition. No physical description was provided, and detectives continue to seek additional information. Detectives will follow-up with canvassing in the immediate area in the coming days to develop additional information.
