Motorists are advised to plan ahead for a 60-day closure of the S. Green Street and County Road 300N intersection beginning on or after Tuesday, May 24. The Town of Brownsburg will close the intersection for construction of a $1.4 million roundabout. COLOR EXHIBIT>>
Signs are in place to alert motorists that the road will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to the east along S. Northfield Drive, Hornaday Road, and Airport Road. The businesses on S. Green Street and CR350N will be accessible. DETOUR MAP>>
The decision to completely close the intersection during construction will significantly shorten the length of what could otherwise be a five-month project. It also led to better bid pricing, saving approximately $350,000. Project start and completion dates are dependent on weather and other factors.
Additionally, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will start installation of a traffic signal at the I-74 westbound exit ramp to Ronald Reagan Parkway on or after Monday, May 23. Motorists should only expect minor impacts to traffic. The completion date for the traffic signal project is August 31. DETAILS>>
