Boo Bash at MADE
October 28 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
PLAINFIELD, Ind. – Families across Hendricks County are invited to celebrate Halloween, explore MADE@Plainfield and connect with the community during the first-ever Boo Bash at MADE, taking place Wednesday, October 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The free, family-friendly event will transform MADE@Plainfield into an evening of trick-or-treating, activities, giveaways, education and Halloween fun, while giving families a chance to see firsthand what happens inside the facility.
Boo Bash is designed to be more than a traditional trick-or-treating event. It is also a community open house, giving residents an opportunity to wander the halls of MADE, explore the facility and meet some of the organizations, educators and service providers working throughout Hendricks County.
What Families Can Expect
Families can stop by anytime between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. and enjoy:
- Trick-or-treating throughout the MADE@Plainfield facility
- Halloween-themed book giveaways for a variety of ages and reading levels
- Educational mini-lessons and activities led by Ivy Tech Community College faculty
- Games, crafts and children’s activities
- Opportunities to meet local organizations, community groups and service providers
- Plenty of costumes, decorations, candy and Halloween fun
The event is truly a collaborative effort among the organizations that call MADE@Plainfield home. MADE partners are working together to bring Boo Bash to life, with additional help from Plainfield High School students, who will volunteer throughout the evening and assist with activities for children.
Special Thanks to Ivy Tech Community College
A special thank you goes to Ivy Tech Community College for spearheading the idea for Boo Bash and providing funding to help make the inaugural event possible.
As a key MADE partner, Ivy Tech helped turn the idea of a family Halloween event into an opportunity to combine fun with education, literacy and community engagement. Ivy Tech faculty and staff will also be involved throughout the evening, helping families experience the educational side of MADE in a fun and approachable way.
