INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 18, 2019) – Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne
Crouch joined Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and executives of Expert RN
(Expert RN|MD), a medical consulting startup, today to celebrate the grand
opening of its new, downtown headquarters. Launched in 2018, the company also announced
plans to grow its workforce in Indiana.
“State leaders are working hard every day to
make Indiana a thriving destination to start and scale a business,” said
Lt. Governor Crouch. “Big or small, we are extremely grateful for
companies like Expert RN|MD who choose Indiana to grow their business and
create quality career opportunities for Hoosiers. I am confident our central
location, strength in the life sciences industry, and 21st century talent pool
will set them up for long-term success.”
Expert RN|MD provides a comprehensive suite of
medical consultation services to two distinct industry sectors – law firms and
life sciences companies. By curating a national team of highly specialized and
diverse clinical experts, Expert RN|MD strives to make an impact on the
industries they serve while achieving their employee-based mission to inspire
medical professionals to create a career that fits their lifestyle.
Expert RN|MD, which has future plans for national growth, debuted its
recently-renovated 4,000-square-foot headquarters facility on the third floor
of 235 S. Meridian St. in downtown Indianapolis. To support its initial
growth, the company plans to create up to 21 new, high-wage jobs by the end of
2023 in central Indiana and has already added four to its team. The company is
hiring for positions in RN consulting, MD consulting and business operations.
New positions are expected to offer average salaries above the state and county
average wage. Interested applicants may apply online.
“To have our headquarters in a central Midwest
location known for its values of support and client centricity sets us up for
future national growth,” said Amanda Stephenson, founder and president of
Expert RN|MD. “Not to mention that Indiana has more than 1,750 companies
working in the life sciences industry, an incredible number rivaling many of
the coastal hubs. While our firm is serving the needs of two very different
business sectors, we are fulfilling those needs with one common resource –
clinical experts. Additionally, I am proud of the women in leadership trend I
see growing in Indiana right now, with 162,000 woman-owned businesses in the
state. I am thrilled to be part of that growing statistic.”
According to BioCrossroads and the Indiana Business
Research Center, Indiana is the second largest exporter of life sciences
products in the U.S. at $10.2 billion in total exports. Together, more than
1,750 companies support over 56,000 Hoosier jobs with average wages of
approximately $97,600 annually.
“With its new headquarters located in the downtown
Wholesale District, I am proud to welcome Expert RN|MD to the heart of our
city,” said Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. “Not only does this woman-owned
business bring jobs and opportunity for growth to the burgeoning life sciences
industry here in Indianapolis, but Expert RN|MD also breathes renewed life into
one of our city’s most historic areas through the renovation of its home on
South Meridian.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation
offered Expert RN up to $350,000 in conditional tax credits based on the
company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning
until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The
city of Indianapolis supports the project.
