Below are the instructions on how to download and set up our voice tracking client so you can track from home. Let me know if you have any questions. The way our voice tracking works is that only one person can be in the system recording at a time. We send text messages to let everyone know when they are in the system and it is currently unavailable. The reason we do this is that if two (or more) people were to be in the system at the same time, you run the risk of overwriting each other’s work and that would be very frustrating to say the least if you did an hour or two of recording only to find it deleted. The way we avoid this is with a text message system. We send a group text to let people know who is in and out of the system. People who are recording for that day have priority. I am a little different than the others in that I am basically recording live, so the system is generally unavailable weekdays from 7a-1p. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Click on the “Options” tag and configure as shown: (FYI…either OGG or MP3 are fine.) Click on the “Connect” tab and highlight “WYRZ-LPFM”. Click “Connect” Once connected you will be presented with options in the playlist log. Always use the topmost log. That is the current playlist the station is using. Double-click on it to load. Once opened, you will be presented with the playlist editor. Comprehensive help on how to use and configure the Playlist Editor can be found under the “Help” menu. Before being able to record any VT’s, you must configure your microphone setup. Highlight the track where you want to insert a VT before and click “Record”. The VT Recorder box will then pop-up.
