Short-term road closure to impact State Road 39 in Lizton

LIZTON, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces short-term a road closure on State Road 39 in Lizton.

Beginning on or after Thursday, June 25, CSX Transportation crews will close S.R. 39 at the railroad crossing between U.S. 136 and I-74. The purpose of this closure is to perform railroad maintenance in the area. Work is anticipated to last around two days but is weather-dependent and subject to change.

The official detour around the closure follows U.S. 136 to S.R. 75 in Jamestown, to I-74, back to S.R. 39 and vice versa. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution when traveling in and around work zones.
