Four Avon High School Juniors are IASP Class of ’23 Rising Stars

Avon, Ind. – The Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) recognized four Avon High School juniors—Jasmine Diallo, Josh Heitert, Katherine Langford, and Roshan Patel—as Indiana Class of 2023 Rising Stars. This award is presented to up to four juniors at each high school in the state for outstanding academic achievement.

“We are proud of Jasmine, Josh, Katherine, and Roshan,” said Avon High School Principal Matt Shockley. “Not only are they gifted and hard-working students, but they are also leaders among their peers. I look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in their remaining time at AHS and beyond.”

These students will be recognized by the Avon Board of School Trustees at an upcoming meeting.

The IASP recognized 1,020 juniors from 262 Indiana high schools as Class of ’23 Rising Stars. In an email announcing the award recipients, an IASP representative said, “We congratulate these young people on all they have already achieved, as well as offer support and encouragement as they continue their accomplishments and expand their knowledge, growth, and leadership skills way into the future.” The Rising Stars program is designed to increase visibility and scholarship opportunities for recipients.
