Vigo County – Terre Haute – At approximately 1:05 a.m., March 27, 2019, Troopers Fyfe, Stump, and Petrowski were located at a gas station in Terre Haute. The troopers observed a pick-up truck, driven by a female, pull into the station. The female driver got out of the vehicle and proceeded inside the gas station, striking up a conversation with the cashier. The troopers observed criminal indicators from the female driver that led them to believe that she was possibly impaired due to a controlled substance.
The troopers began talking to the female, observing even more criminal indicators. The driver was then identified as Jodi L. Tryon, 49, of West Terre Haute. Troopers then searched the vehicle, and Tryon, and found approximately one gram of methamphetamine and a glass smoking device. The troopers then administered several field sobriety tests to Tyron, in which she failed. Tryon was offered the opportunity to submit to a chemical test, in which she refused. Jodi Tryon was taken into custody and transported to the Vigo County Jail where she is currently being held without bond.
