INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA (October 29, 2018) — Today Treasurer of State Kelly Mitchell turned in the 2018 Annual report for the Office of the Treasurer of State. In this report the Treasurer announced an invested income of over eighty-five (85) million dollars for the state of Indiana. This is a thirty-three (33) million dollar increase over fiscal year 2017.
“I am pleased that the investments we do on behalf of the state continue to earn more each year”, said Treasurer Mitchell, “I look forward to continued growth in our invested income over the next several years.”
The Indiana General Assembly is responsible for maintaining the investment parameters within which the Treasurer’s office can invest state dollars. The specifics of those parameters can be found in Indiana Code 5-13 ‘Investment of Public Funds’.
