Statement from Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann on the Death of Jane Avery

INDIANAPOLIS – Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann today issued the following statement upon learning of Jane Avery’s recent passing.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Jane Avery.  She has been so special to the food security effort in Indiana.  Jane was one of the first community leaders to sit down with me upon becoming Lieutenant Governor and serving as Secretary of Agriculture.  Her passion for ensuring that no one in Indiana experienced hunger was evident.  Northeast Indiana and the entire State of Indiana will miss this great woman who did so much for others.  I send my condolences and prayers to her family and all who loved her.”
