Washington, DC–Congressman Todd Rokita cosponsored an amendment to repeal the Obamacare individual mandate. Rokita said, “Obamacare is one of the most insidious pieces of legislation and it continues to damage Hoosiers every day. By repealing the individual mandate, we are giving the people choice and saving $338 billion in taxpayer dollars. The government never should have required the American people to purchase healthcare. That is not their job.”
Congressman Todd Rokita signed onto Congressman Mark Walker’s (NC-6) legislation to repeal the Obamacare individual mandate. Congressman Jim Banks (IN-3) is also cosponsoring this amendment.
“We are keeping our promises to the American people by repealing Obamacare and pushing forward to create real tax reform that helps all Hoosiers, and all Americans,” concluded Rokita.
