IMPD Robbery detectives seek the public’s assistance in located wanted suspect, who allegedly beat and robbed woman at gas station

IMPDINDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Robbery detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 23-year-old Neverean Jackson for his alleged involvement in a Strong Armed Robbery.

On June 1st, 2016, just before 3:30 p.m., IMPD officers were dispatched to the Marathon Gas Station located in the 8000 blk of E 42nd St, on reports of a Strong Armed Robbery that had just occurred.

Responding officers arrived to find a female victim, who had swelling to her face, who stated that she had just been robbed. The victim stated that a male, later identified as Neverean Jackson, had offered to pump  her gas. When the victim was retrieving money for his assistance, the suspect grabbed her purse. The victim attempted to gain control of her purse, but the suspect pulled her to the ground and then punched her in the face. The suspect was then seen getting into a newer black Chrysler Sebring and fled from the location. The victim was treated by EMS Personnel on-scene.

A warrant for Level III – Felony Robbery has been issued for Neverean Jackson, for his alleged involvement in this violent act. Detectives urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317)262-TIPS(8477). Information given via Crime Stoppers is considered anonymous.
