IMPD Homicide Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in the 3100 Block of Brouse Avenue

IMPDINDIANAPOLIS – Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting that left a man dead.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on June 29th, IMPD officers responded to a person shot in the 3100 block of Brouse Avenue. Officers located 25-year-old Phillip Brown, in the outdoor common area of the apartment complex, suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Detectives did canvass the area for additional information, and the Indianapolis Forensic Services Agency processed the crime scene for investigative evidence. Detectives have not yet released any suspect information but continue to follow-up on leads.
