DANVILLE — Kevin Speer, President & CEO of Hendricks Regional Health, was recognized as Leadership Hendricks County’s 2020 Leader of the Year on Thursday, May 13 at the Leadership Hendricks County Celebration of Leaders event held at CRG Event Center in Plainfield.
Leadership Hendricks County annually presents the Leader of the Year Award to a member of our community who demonstrates leadership as a servant leader, facilitation, leading by example, collaboration, is visionary, and one who helps others be successful.
The award committee recognized Kevin’s leadership throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. During the largest healthcare crisis of our lifetime, Kevin put the organization’s and the community’s safety at the forefront. In addition to leading Hendricks, Kevin established critical lines of communication with community leaders and county officials during the peak of COVID’s impact. He also is the driving force behind the vaccination initiative that has placed Hendricks County among the highest county vaccination rates in the state.
Kevin serves in leadership roles for numerous local and state organizations including Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership, YMCA of Greater Indianapolis, Crossroads of America Council/Boy Scouts of America and Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
Kevin has been the President & CEO of Hendricks Regional Health since November 2012. He and his wife, Kim, reside in Brownsburg and have two sons, Eric and Cole.
