CGIC investigation results in recovery of illegally-possessed firearms, federal charges

INDIANAPOLIS- On July 1, 2020, the CGIC Unit, along with the IMPD SWAT Team’s assistance, served a search warrant at 3134 E. Sumner Avenue. IMPD district officers had previously responded to at least three shots fired runs from 3134 E. Sumner Avenue since January 2020.  Two individuals, Jeremy Bullock and Paige Bryan exited the residence and were detained by IMPD SWAT.

A detailed search of the residence resulted in recovery of the following:

  • Three firearms
  • Ammunition
  • Marijuana and synthetic marijuana
  • Narcotics paraphernalia

Mr. Bullock was charged federally for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Armed Career Criminal. Ms. Bryan was charged with visiting a common nuisance.

Mr. Bullock has prior convictions for the following:

  • Murder
  • Carjacking
  • Burglary
  • Possession Firearm by Serious Violent Felon
  • Resisting Law Enforcement

The Indianapolis Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) is an interagency collaboration focused on the timely collection and analysis of crime gun evidence to identify serial shooters and disrupt violent crime. To date, CGIC’s efforts have led to the seizure of 121 crime guns and the arrest of 122 violent individuals in 2020. CGIC is a partnership between IMPD, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana, ATF, Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, and Fishers Police Department, with Indiana University serving as a research partner.
