The Town of Brownsburg is partnering with INDOT to interconnect traffic signals near the I-74 interchange to improve traffic flow. The Town’s lights along W. Northfield Drive at McNees Drive and at N. Green Street will be timed with the state’s lights at the interstate ramps and at County Road 700N.
When the project is complete, INDOT will monitor the timing and traffic flow of all five intersections collectively and make adjustments as needed to optimize travel through the area.
Underground work has been underway and the cabinets are scheduled to be installed the week of January 1. Motorists should anticipate periodic lane restrictions and traffic delays on W. Northfield Drive and N. Green Street while work is underway.
