Arrest Made in Murder of Man Near 34th Street and Keystone Avenue Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS – IMPD detectives are investigating the death of a man who was shot near the area of 34th Street and Keystone Avenue.  The man, later identified as 30-year-old Jokoby Scott, was transported to Eskenazi Hospital where he died of his injuries.

The officers who responded to the area for the initial call obtained enough information from witnesses to have a description of a car that was possibly carrying someone involved in the shooting.  This description was provided to on-duty officers and a car matching the description was located near the area of 71st Street and Meridian Street.

Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested 27-year-old Donahvon Troutman for the murder of Scott.

Troutman was taken into custody following a short pursuit that ended near 52nd Street and Georgetown Road.   Troutman was taken into custody not far from the crashed car.
