Daytime lane closures to impact I-70 in both directions for spot paving

PUTNAM & HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces daytime lane closures that will impact I-70 in both directions in Putnam and Hendricks Counties.

Beginning on or after Monday, April 20, INDOT maintenance crews will close individual lanes on I-70 in two locations:

  • Between the Clay and Putnam County line and U.S. 231 in Cloverdale
  • Between State Road 39 and Quaker Blvd. in Hendricks County

The purpose of the lane closures is to allow INDOT maintenance crews to safely complete a spot paving operation. Work is anticipated to last up to one month but is weather-dependent and subject to change. All lanes will be open after 2 p.m. between S.R. 39 and Quaker Blvd. daily due to traffic volume.

INDOT encourages drivers to use extra caution and avoid distractions, especially around work zones.
