Lane closures to impact two U.S. 36 intersections for ongoing Modern Rockville Road project

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces single-lane closures that will impact two intersections along U.S. 36 as a part of utility relocations for the Modern Rockville Road project.

Currently, there are ongoing lane closures that began Monday, April 13 at the intersection of U.S. 36 and Girls School Road to allow for gas line relocations. This is anticipated to last until July, weather-permitting.

Beginning on or after Monday, April 20, water line relocations are anticipated to begin at the intersection of U.S. 36 and High School Road. This is anticipated to last up to two weeks, weather-permitting.

INDOT reminds drivers of the ongoing traffic pattern shift west of this location, shifting traffic to the north to add a third travel lane in this corridor. Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution in and around the work zone.
