State Road 39 to temporarily close through Lizton on July 23

LIZTON, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary closure on State Road 39 in Lizton.

Beginning on or after Tuesday, July 23, crews will close S.R. 39 between I-74 and Main Street (U.S. 136) to repair the railroad in town. Work is expected to last about a week but is weather permitting and subject to change.

The official detour around the closure is S.R. 39 to U.S. 136 to S.R.75 to I-74 to S.R. 39.

INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution in and around all work zones.
