Indianapolis, IN – Saturday evening, at 7:23, emergency crews were called to the scene of a serious crash in the westbound lanes of I-70 near Post Road. Upon arrival first responders found one driver was unresponsive and despite life-saving efforts was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the vehicle driven by the deceased person swerved into the path of another vehicle. The collision caused heavy damage to both vehicles. The deceased driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The names of both involved parties isn’t being withheld at this time pending further investigation and family notification. The Marion County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to recover the remains of the deceased.
