2022 500 Festival Miler Series, presented by OrthoIndy, to Return to The Pavilion at Pan Am

INDIANAPOLIS (November 16, 2021) – The 500 Festival announces today that the 2022 500 Festival Miler Series, presented by OrthoIndy, will return to The Pavilion at Pan Am for the third year.

Registration for the three-race series, which consists of events on February 5, March 5, and April 2, is officially open at IndyMini.com/Milers. Participants can register at the lowest rate through January 30, paying just $65 to take part in all three events.

The Miler Series consists of three running/walking events at three unique distances, a 3-Miler, 6-Miler, and 10-Miler. The Miler Series will kick off on Saturday, February 5 with the 3-Miler, followed by the 6-Miler on March 5, and the 10-Miler on April 2. The date and distance of each race coincides with a typical 12-week training program for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. These events are the perfect opportunity for participants to gauge training progression, practice race-day strategy, and experience the exciting atmosphere of a timed running and walking event. Participants who register for the full Miler Series, consisting of all three races, will earn the title of Podium Finisher and receive a long-sleeved shirt and a unique finisher medal.

The Pavilion at Pan Am serves as a spacious, indoor and outdoor venue in the heart of downtown Indianapolis with spectacular views of the Circle City. Participants and spectators can enjoy pre-race festivities including packet pickup, gear check, sponsor activations, and more inside The Pavilion. The thrill of race morning can be felt amongst participants at the large outdoor area, perfect for warming up before the race and for post-race celebrations.

Runners and walkers will race through exciting courses that weave throughout the city and surrounding neighborhoods.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled for the in-person return of the 500 Festival Miler Series, presented by OrthoIndy, to be held at The Pavilion at Pan Am,” said Bob Bryant, president and CEO of the 500 Festival. “The Miler Series is concurrent with the training plan for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and is an exciting way to tackle the mileage, or simply be introduced to the thrill and inspiration that comes with live running and walking events.”

A virtual option is also available. Registration for the Virtual Miler Series is $50and participants will receive a bib, a tech t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Virtual Miler Series participants complete the corresponding distance from the location of their choice. Participants then submit their race time and photos upon completing the designated distance.
