UPS New Package Processing Facility Now Hiring in Plainfield

In June, UPS revealed plans for their new $260 million package processing facility in Plainfield. Together with improvements to existing buildings in Indianapolis, UPS expects to add over 500 new jobs. WYRZ recently had the opportunity to talk to HR District Manager, Pete Hood, about this new 893,000 sq ft facility in Plainfield.

Pete shared, “We’re excited about this new opportunity in Plainfield. We have a new facility that’s a little under a million square feet and we are going to be looking to place an additional 500 people to that facility. It opens November 5.  We’re going to be hiring prior to that and then we’re going to be training individuals at a couple of different locations, our  81st and our 16th Street facilities, to get them prepared for the work to be done”.
