Trooper Injured after Patrol Car Struck on I-69 by a Hit-and-Run Driver; Police Looking for a White Buick Rendezvous

Indianapolis, IN – Trooper Joel Flores was slightly injured this morning when his patrol car was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Flores was assisting a disabled vehicle in the southbound lanes of I-69 just north of 82nd Street at 12:48 a.m. when the crash occurred. A white Buick Rendezvous with an Indiana In God We Trust license plate struck the left rear of Flores’s car then fled the scene, Flores attempted to give chase but his car suffered disabling damage.

Flores was transported to a local hospital with neck and back pain. The white Buick should have front driver’s side damage. Anybody with information about this crash, or the whereabouts of the White Buick Rendezvous with an Indiana In God We Trust license plate, should call the Indiana State Police at 317-899-8577

Trooper Flores, a nine  year Indiana State Police veteran,  has been released from the hospital.
