Temporary lane restrictions on US 36 for patchwork in Avon

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces ongoing lane restrictions on U.S. 36 in Avon. This work was originally scheduled to start in June, and is now ongoing. It should be completely finished by mid-August.

The U.S. 36 westbound passing lane will be restricted between C.R. 625 E. and C.R. 571 E. for pavement removal and concrete placement. The lane will open back up later in the week once concrete has reached the specific strength requirements. Then, on or after Monday, August 1, the westbound driving lane and shoulder will be restricted between C.R. 625 E. and C.R. 571 E. for more pavement removal and concrete placement. That lane will open back up once the concrete has reached the specific strength requirements.

This project was awarded to Rieth Riley Construction for $2.9 million.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
