Hendricks County Community Foundation Scholarships Open August 3rd

More than 24 scholarships are offered by the Hendricks County Community Foundation to local high school seniors, and the application to apply for these will be open this year from August 3 – September 14th at 3 p.m. Applications for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship (LECS) are available at the same time and through the same online application.

The LECS Program provides full-tuition, required-fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis. HCCF will nominate 3 students to receive the scholarship.

The other awards range from $500 to $10,000, with each scholarship having specific criteria. Students must apply for the scholarships online at http:/hendrickscountycf.org/for-our-community/scholarships/ where more information is also available. Since 1996, the Community Foundation has annually awarded scholarships to high school seniors totaling over $1.2 million. These scholarships are funded by donors who believe in the youth of Hendricks County and want to support their pursuit of higher education.
