State Road 47 over I-65 will Close Monday in Boone County

BOONE, CLINTON AND TIPPECANOE COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) alerts motorists of the closing of State Road 47 over I-65 in Boone County on or after Monday, June 11.  This closure will last through the end of September and is for the deck replacement on the bridge.  The detour will utilize U.S. 52 to S.R. 32 to S.R. 39.

Other closures for this project will include the following:

·    Clinton County Road 900 West over I-65 will close Friday, June 8-Saturday, June 16

·    Tippecanoe County Road 900 East over I-65 will close Thursday, June 21-Sunday, August 19

·     I-65 northbound exit ramp to S.R. 47 will close next weekend Friday, June 15 at 10 p.m. Monday, June 18 by 6 a.m.

Milestone Contractors, L.P. was awarded the $47.2 million contract.   The project on I-65 includes patching and resurfacing the interstate from one mile south of U.S. 52 in Lebanon to nearly 3.5 miles south of State Road 38 in Lafayette, replacing the decks on the State Road 47 Bridge and on Tippecanoe County Road 900 E. and Clinton County Road 1000 W. Bridges over I-65. The project is scheduled to be completed in October of 2018.
