BOONE AND CLINTON COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the State Road 39 will close on or after Monday, April 2 to replace a small structure just over 4.5 miles south of I-65. The roadway is scheduled to reopen at the end of June.
The official detour follows I-74 to State Road 75 to State Road 32 to I-65/U.S. 52 and back.
This project was awarded to Force Construction Co. for $3.1 million. This project also includes a bridge replacement on S.R. 39 over Sugar Creek, a bridge deck replacement on S.R. 38 over Sugar Creek and a bridge deck overlay on both the eastbound and westbound U.S. 52 bridges over Goldsberry Creek, west of S.R.47.
INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
