Rokita Leads Letter To Terminate Citibank’s Contract Because of Their Anti-Second Amendment Policies

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Todd Rokita led a letter with 15 congressional cosigners to the General Services Administration (GSA) calling to rebid their contract with Citibank due to the company’s new sale policies that target customers wishing to exercise their legal Second Amendment rights.

“This flagrant disregard for American citizens and their God-given Second Amendment rights cannot be tolerated,” said Congressman Todd Rokita. “Those who seek to undermine those God-given rights do not deserve taxpayer dollars and should be denied federal contracts. Congress has sworn to uphold the Constitution, and it is paramount that we stand united for the American people and their right to bear arms.”

Citibank’s new guidelines penalize clients who do not align their sales policies to match the lender’s restrictive new commercial firearms policy. Congressman Rokita believes the federal government should instead do business with companies that respect all of our constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment. Rokita’s letter is fully endorsed by The National Rifle Association (NRA). You can read the full letter here and Citibank’s new policies here.
