Project on I-65 begins Monday in Boone and Clinton Counties

BOONE AND CLINTON COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a construction project on I-65 will begin on or after Monday, March 30.  Traffic will be shifted over to the right lane in each direction between the 147 to the 149 mile markers for the contractor to install a barrier wall. This bridge is located approximately two miles north of State Road 47. This work will begin at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning through Monday, April 1.

This project was awarded to Milestone Contractors L.P. for $12.9 million. The project will replace and widen the Sugar Creek Bridges and the bridges over Manson-Colfax Road.  The Manson-Colfax Rd. will be closed beginning on or after Tuesday, April 7 through Monday, November 23. The official detour route follows Clinton C.R. 500 South to C.R. 450 West.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
