Plainfield Man Arrested after Fleeing Trooper

Putnam County—This evening at 6:50, Indiana State Police Senior Trooper David Petrowski radar tracked a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle on westbound US 40 near County Road 200 West, at 74 miles-per-hour in a 55mph zone. As Petrowski attempted to stop the motorcycle, the driver fled north on Manhattan Road from US 40, at times reaching speeds near 100mph. Near County Road 550 South, the cyclist failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway. At that time, he was taken into custody by Senior Trooper Petrowski. This was less than ten minutes after the initial clock.
