North Green Street Detour Begins February 26th

BROWNSBURG – The Town of Brownsburg will restrict N. Green Street traffic between Main Street and 56th Street to one-way northbound only while utility relocation is underway ahead of the street redesign project.

Signs are in place to alert motorists that the road will be closed to southbound traffic on or after February 26. Utility relocation is expected to go through the end of March. Southbound traffic will be detoured to use W. Northfield Drive to W. Main Street.

Restricting traffic will reduce congestion on N. Green, making the work safer and helping the utility crews stay on schedule. Construction on the N. Green Street redesign, adding a dedicated left-turn lane, sidewalks and bike lanes, is expected to begin in April. As always, start and completion dates are dependent on weather and other factors.
