WYRZ's Shane Ray enjoying a grilled cheese sandwich at the American Dairy Association of Indiana's Dairy Bar at the 2018 Indiana State Fair

Last weekend of the 2018 Indiana State Fair and the Dairy Bar

Brownsburg – It’s the last weekend of the 2018 Indiana State Fair as well as the Dairy Bar by the American Dairy Association of Indiana. That’s where you can get the inside-out grilled cheese. ADAI’s Jeanie Browning talked with WYRZ on opening day to tell us what she enjoyed making the most at the Dairy Bar.

“I would say that I have the most fun on one I can’t make a mistake on. That’s probably a milkshake,” Browning said. “They call it “pulling a shake” where you pull the lever down and it just fills up a cup so that way you really can’t go wrong, I can’t mess it up and you get to do that little swirl on top.  And we do have more flavors of Milkshakes this year. We have strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and the new flavor this year is birthday cake. It has sprinkles on top. It kind of celebrates the whole circus theme of the fair “Step Right Up ”. It’s really one of the fun flavors of the year.”

Other menu options offered at the Dairy Bar are yogurt, mozzarella sticks, white and chocolate milk, pretzel bites, applesauce and cottage cheese. Browning says all the products at the Dairy Bar come solely from Indiana dairy farmers. The “Greatest 17 Days of Summer” as it has come to be known will end August 19th.
