Juvenile injured in ORV incident in Morgan County

Martinsville – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an Off Road Vehicle (ORV) incident that occurred last night. 

At approximately 7:27 p.m., Indiana Conservation Officers were called to investigate an ORV accident that left a Morgan County juvenile injured. 

Initial investigation revealed that a 13-year-old was operating a Yamaha Quad Sport on private property near the 300 block of Buffalo Hill Road.  While attempting to cross the road, the ORV hit a tree along the roadway on the neighboring property. 

As a result of the collision, the juvenile sustained arm injuries and was transported via LifeLine to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in Indianapolis for treatment.

Investigating officer ICO Kurt Kinser indicated the juvenile was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. 

Assisting agencies included Morgan County Sheriff’s Department and Morgan County EMS.
