ISP to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint in Marion County

Marion County – The Indiana State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Marion County during the evening hours of Saturday, March 17, 2018.  The checkpoint is in conjunction with the Operation Pull Over Period Blitz #93.

Approximately 250 law enforcement agencies statewide will participate in the annual Operation Pull Over campaign.

Troopers from the Indianapolis Post will be conducting high visibility enforcement efforts including a sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrols looking for impaired motorists and dangerous drivers.

Motorists are asked to have their driver’s license and vehicle registration available when entering a checkpoint.  This will help minimize the amount of time spent at the checkpoint.  Motorists can expect short delays of only two to three minutes.

The public is encouraged to call 911 or the closest Indiana State Police Post when they observe another motorist that may be impaired.  Be prepared to give a description of the vehicle, location and direction of travel.
