ISP Investigating Possible Stolen Vehicle Crash on I-465

Indianapolis, IN- Indiana State Police troopers are investigating a sighting of a possible stolen vehicle that began on 38th Street and ended with a crash on I-465.

Very preliminary information gained thus far by investigators has revealed that at approximately 2:00 p.m. this afternoon a male subject observed his uncles car, which had been reported stolen on February 3rd, near 38th Street and Moeller Road.

The male subject followed the car onto I-465 NB to the 18.5 mm then intentionally crashed into the car disabling both vehicles. The man, identified as Pablo Rodriguez, 28, of Indianapolis, than held the driver of the stolen car at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived.

The driver of the stolen car has been identified as Andre Edwards, 21, of Indianapolis. Edwards has an outstanding Level 3 Felony Marion County warrant for Armed and Dangerous Robbery and a second outstanding warrant from the state of Georgia for Aggravated Assault.

It is unclear at this time if any shots were fired during the altercation. The investigation is continuing.

No further information is available at this time. Further information will be release when it is obtained.

Both Rodriguez and Edwards were transported to Eskenazi Hospital to be examined.
