INDIANAPOLIS (November 22, 2019) – IndyGo service will continue on Fixed Route, Open Door, and Rapid Transit during the Thanksgiving weekend, but run on Sunday schedules. Passengers should reference their route schedules to identify what time service begins and ends. IndyGo Customer Service and administrative offices will be closed.
Passengers can ride the Red Line as early as 6:10 a.m. northbound and 6:06 a.m. southbound. For additional time points, view the Red Line route on the IndyGo website.
Drumstick Dash Detours
Rapid Transit
The Drumstick Dash will detour the Red Line Rapid Transit on the northside and close the Broad Ripple station and 66th street stations for the duration of the race from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Passengers heading north to 96th will experience a minor route detour where rapid transit vehicles will use Kessler to Meridian Street and turn right on to 71st until the race is completed to get to 96th. Southbound vehicles will also use 71st to Meridian to Kessler. See the graphic below.
Fixed Route Detours
Route 18 will be detoured in Broad Ripple due to the Drumstick Dash event from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Bus stop closures:
- Illinois Street between 52nd Street and Westfield Boulevard
- Westfield Boulevard between Illinois Street and College Avenue
- Broad Ripple Avenue between College Avenue and Keystone Avenue
- Kessler Avenue between Rural Street and Keystone Avenue (EB Route 18 Only)
- College Avenue between 66th Street and 71st Street
Fixed Route, Open Door, and Rapid Transit will resume regular weekday service on Friday, November 29, but may experience delays in the downtown area due to the Circle of Lights event. The Customer Service Center will also resume normal business hours on Friday (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) however, administrative offices will remain closed through the weekend.
