Avon, Ind. – The Avon High School (AHS) Athletic Department has hired Frank Dixon as varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach. His hiring follows a thorough selection process. His demonstrated leadership and track record of success distinguished him as a candidate.
Dixon is an Indiana high school coaching legend. In his 34 years as a head coach, his teams have won 10 state championships, the most in Indiana history. During his tenure at Carmel High School, his teams put together a 620-50-54 record, won 20 sectional championships, 17 regional championships, and 14 semi-state titles. He is bringing his deep understanding of the game and an inspiring commitment to cultivating deep and meaningful relationships with student-athletes to the AHS soccer program.
“Frank will be a fantastic addition to our athletic department,” says Corporation Athletic Director Jason Young. “Frank’s records and championships speak for themselves. However, what stood out for us was his commitment to his players and their development on and off of the pitch. We are very excited to see where Coach Dixon can take this program.”
Dixon begins his coaching role immediately.
