Indy Honor Flight is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers a one-day trip of a lifetime to honor and thank wartime service men and women with an all expenses paid day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in the Veteran’s honor.
Indy Honor Flight includes a “Meet and Greet Dinner” the night before the trip, and the day begins with an early morning charter an Airbus 321 aircraft from American Airlines out of the Indianapolis International Airport to Washington D.C.. While in D.C. the group of 86 Veterans, along with 86 Guardians visit the top 3 veteran memorials,WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, the Lincoln memorial, the Arlington National Cemetery to observe the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown and more, returning later that same evening with a community welcome party at Plainfield High School.
