Indy Chamber Announces Finalists for 43rd Annual Monumental Awards presented by Comcast Business

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indy Chamber announced finalists for the 43rd annual Monumental Awards presented by Comcast Business, showcasing the greatest in places and spaces across the Indianapolis region. The event will take place October 7 as a movie premiere at Tibb’s Drive-In Theater on the west side of Indianapolis. Tickets are available via indychamber.com/events.

Over the last few weeks, eight local sanctioning organizations reviewed project submissions in the categories of architecture, construction, engineering, innovative reuse, interior design, landscape architecture, neighborhood revitalization, public art, and real estate development. The list below represents the finalists selected in each category to be honored, sorted in alphabetical order by project name per category.

ARCHITECTURE

  • City of Fishers Fire Station 91 and Department HQ submitted by DELV Design
  • Martindale-Brightwood Library submitted by Axis Architecture + Interiors
  • Walnut Grove Elementary submitted by Lancer+Beebe

CONSTRUCTION

  • Brownsburg High School Addition and Renovation submitted by Meyer Najam Construction
  • P.R. Mallory Redevelopment submitted by Brandt Construction
  • Sue Ann Wortman Nephrology Center submitted by F.A. Wilhelm Construction

ENGINEERING

  • 96th Street & Keystone Parkway Interchange and Corridor Improvement submitted by CHA Consulting

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

  • Fishers District submitted by Thompson Thrift Retail Group, City of Fishers
  • Innovation Building 1 at 16 Tech submitted by Browning
  • Monon Boulevard submitted by Carmel Redevelopment Commission

Finalists will be recognized within their submitting categories during the October 7 event, and the top honorees in each category will be considered for the Monumental Award, the evening’s highest honor. Beyond those listed above, all 65 submissions are eligible to win the People’s Choice Award based on voting with “likes” via the Indy Chamber’s Facebook page from September 14-18.
