Sale items range from aviation equipment to unclaimed lost items
INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 4, 2017) – The Indianapolis Airport Authority will host a live auction on Aug. 8 to sell off everything from farming, technology and aviation equipment to items left unclaimed in the Indianapolis International Airport’s lost and found.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. at 2601 S. Hoffman Road in Indianapolis, with the live auction officially beginning at 10 a.m. Online bidding will be available simultaneously with the live auction.
Interested buyers can preview items on Aug. 7 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The live auction will conduct sales simultaneously in three designated areas based on item categories. Those categories include farming equipment and industrial tools, IT and office equipment, and aircraft equipment, emergency-response equipment and machine-precision tooling. Lost-and-found items will be sold via online bidding only.
A number of items for sale are surplus and obsolete airport assets from the Indianapolis Maintenance Center. Money raised from the auction will go into the airport’s general fund for maintenance, as well as Indianapolis Maintenance Center’s fund for future use.
