INDOT to host public hearing tonight on I-465 reconfiguration project

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation is hosting a public hearing tonight on the I-465 reconfiguration project. 

The public hearing will allow members of the public to comment on the preliminary design plans and environmental documentation for the project.

The reconfiguration is part of the I-69 Finish Line project. It includes added travel lanes on I-465, bridge replacements and proposed noise barriers along parts of the interstate.

The purpose of the I-465 Reconfiguration Project is to improve overall traffic operation within these sections of I-465 by reducing congestion, meeting current design standards for ramp lengths and improving safety.
