INDOT to Close Dandy Trail Bridge Over I-74 for Replacement

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation is scheduled to close the Dandy Trail Bridge over I-74 on the west side of Indianapolis for replacement.

The bridge is scheduled to close on April 1. It will reopen in the middle of September. The closure and open dates are weather permitting and could change over the course of construction.

During construction, the Dandy Trail Pedestrian Bridge will remain open.

Detour

While the bridge is closed, the official detour for traffic will be 34th Street to High School Road to Crawfordsville Rd.

Crews will also be closing I-74 for up to four nights during construction. This is to remove old beams and bring in the new ones. Follow @INDOTEast on Twitter and INDOT East Central on Facebook for dates and times about those closures.
