IMPD officers and Indiana Parole agents seize sizable amount of meth on the city’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) East District Flex Team (EFT) officers and Indiana Parole agents work together to take 90 grams of meth off the streets of Indianapolis

On 02/13/2018, IMPD EFT was contacted by Indiana Parole agents for assistance in searching the residence of Parolee, James McGraw (60), in the 3600 block of Chokecherry Lane. Parole agents were investigating McGraw’s compliance when they discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine.

IMPD EFT responded and were able to secure a search warrant for the residence. IMPD EFT and Parole agents seized the following:

  • 90+ grams of Methamphetamine (large and small bag)
  • Baggie of assorted Narcotics/Substances
  • (2) Digital Scales
  • (4) Mobile Phones

McGraw was arrested and preliminarily charged with dealing and possession of methamphetamine. He was later transported to the CCB for processing.

Through this collobrative effort, the IMPD EFT and Indiana Parole were able to take a considerable amount of dangerous drugs off the streets of Indianapolis and create a safer environment for residents. The IMPD is grateful for the work of Indiana Parole agents and their diligence in holding parolees accountable. The IMPD is also grateful for the community’s ongoing support and efforts in helping to make Indianapolis a safer place to live, work, and play!
