IMPD Narcotics Detectives Serve Search Warrant and find Guns and Narcotics

IMPDINDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department narcotics detectives arrest a man after the execution of a search warrant in the 3400 block of Marabou Mills Court.

Southwest District narcotic detectives were provided information about a man selling narcotics on the west side of Indianapolis. After several weeks of investigative techniques, detectives secured a search warrant for the residence.  On June 10th, prior to the execution of the search warrant, the target, 28-year-old Brandon Day, was stopped in a vehicle a short distance from his residence.  Mr. Day was armed when he was taken into custody.  Detectives were then able to safely execute the search warrant without damage to the residence.   • 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine;
  • 10 grams of heroin;
  • $11,000 in cash;
  • One stolen AK-47 assault rifle; and
  • Two handguns.

On June 14th, Brandon Day was formally charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine, Dealing in a Narcotic, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Narcotic, and Possession of Marijuana.
