IMPD is investigating the shooting death of a 46-year-old male after officers find him shot at least one time

IMPDINDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 46-year-old male after officers find him shot at least one time.

Just after 5:15 p.m. Saturday, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were dispatched to the 5700 blk. of North High School Rd. reference a person shot. Officers found an unresponsive adult male, later identified as 46-year-old Ryan Goss of Indianapolis, lying on the porch shot at least one time. EMS personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim Mr. Goss deceased. Officers were provided a general suspect description and searched the area for several hours but were unsuccessful in locating a suspect.

Detectives are canvassing the area for additional information, and the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency is processing the crime scene for possible forensic evidence. Anyone with information is urged to share it with Crime Stoppers of Indiana at (317) 262-8477 (TIPS). Information shared via Crime Stoppers should be considered confidential.
