IMPD investigates after a person is shot

INDIANAPOLIS – Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) investigate a shooting that has left one man in critical condition.

Just before 3:00 a.m., officers were sent to the 3500 blk. of West 16th St. reference a person shot. When officers arrived they found one male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS personnel arrived the immediately transported the victim to Sidney and Louis Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.

Officers stopped a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description not far from the original shooting scene. Multiple persons of interests were immediately taken into custody without incident. Several persons of interests were taken down to IMPD Headquarters for questioning. Detectives will continue to follow-up on several promising leads but at the moment, no arrest have occurred.
