IMPD investigates after a man is shot and later dies at the hospital during surgery

IMPDINDIANAPOLIS –  Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), homicide detectives, are investigating after a man is shot and later dies at the hospital.

Just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West 29th Street reference a person shot. When officers arrived they found  27-year-old Cullen Hubbard lying in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Hubbard was transported by EMS personnel to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Despite the best life-saving efforts by medical personnel at the hospital, Hubbard succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives have just begun to investigate the circumstances but at this time have not made any suspect information public. The scene was processed, and evidence was collected by the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency.
