IMPD is investgating a shooting that has left one man dead

INDIANAPOLIS – Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) are investigating a shooting on the city’s west side that has left one man dead.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. Saturday, IMPD officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Exeter Avenue on several reports of shots fired.  When officers arrived they found an unidentified male lying outside suffering from at least one gunshot wound. EMS personnel arrived and pronounced the male victim deceased.  The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Dazjuan Lyle of Indianapolis. 

The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency is processing the crime scene for evidence, and detectives are canvassing the area for additional information.  Detectives have not yet released suspect information.  Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers of Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS. Information shared via Crimes Stoppers should be considered anonymous.
