INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are investigating after finding a man shot to death in the 600 block of North Chester Ave.
Officers were sent to the 600 block of North Chester Ave just before 12:30 a.m. reference a person shot. When officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Anthony Walker in the backyard of the residence suffering from at least one gunshot wound. EMS crews arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.
Currently, detectives are working to established what happened just before the shooting but believe that the occupants of the house may have been having some type of celebratory gathering just before the shooting occurred. Detectives have not yet released any suspect information.
